How do AI teammate hours work?
Every plan includes a monthly allowance of AI teammate hours — 20 hours for Individual, 30 hours per seat for Teams. Under the hood, 1 hour equals roughly $1.00 of underlying LLM compute, which is far more work than a human can do in an hour. Most agents stay comfortably within their included hours. If you exceed your allowance, the extra usage is billed at the model's published cost +25%, invoiced at the end of your billing period. BYO Anthropic key gives you unlimited usage with no platform markup.

What is BYO Anthropic key and how does it give unlimited usage?
You can connect your own Anthropic API key (BYOK) through the secure Vault during onboarding. When you use a BYOK key, LLM calls run against your Anthropic account — meaning that usage does not count against your included hours and you are never charged overages for it. You pay Anthropic directly at their standard rates, with zero platform markup.

What can my agent actually do — not just chat?
Cortex agents run scheduled workflows across your stack — daily Slack digests, weekly pipeline reports, customer triage from your inbox, meeting prep before calls, repo monitoring, competitive scans, and more. You configure what runs when; your agent handles the rest on its own, on schedule.

How long does setup take?
